The Joy of Books: a Love Letter in Stop Motion

by on January 27, 2015

An enchantingly whimsical tribute to books in stop motion form.

As a bibliophile and a fan of stop motion films, I was especially taken with Type Books‘s delightful tribute to the printed word in a 2 minute video form. The short film, which is directed, edited, and cinematographed by Sean Ohlenkamp, portrays a book store playing host to an army of living, breathing, and moving books. Set to beautiful music and an exhaustive run of thousands upon thousands of photographs, the film is a fitting tribute to the appropriately titled joy of books.
