A graphic designer reimagines philosophy – visually.
Graphic designer GenÃs Carreras created a fascinating series of posters, called Philographics.
The posters illustrate various philosophical schools of thought. Carreras’s take on philosophies of nihilism, existentialism, dualism, realism, and many others is an exercise in reducing these philosophical movements to a single visually representative idea.
The designs are minimal and symbolic, and highlight the main idea that each philosophy expresses. The results are clever and enchanting:
Philographics is delightful in its entirety. The full set is available on GenÃs Carreras’s website here.
